Jesus called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
John 21:5,6
I was reminded of this scripture today when I too answered, “No” to the question, “Haven’t you any fish?”
It is Jesus’ friends that He called out to. Jesus wants to be a friend of all… but not all accept Him as friend.
Have you accepted Jesus… it does require that you turn away from doing things your way and to follow His way.
As you can see the fishermen weren’t catching any fish. Jesus gave them his way. The fishermen typically threw their nets to the left side of the boat…Jesus asked them to throw them to the right side…a little subtle difference. The fishermen believed in Jesus and the result was an unbelievable catch. Will you accept the Words of Jesus in your life?
2011 is the beginning of a new decade… now is a good time to listen to the calling voice of Jesus.
