Whilst Outback – the middle of the Australian bush – I stumbled upon a rare field of Maltese Crosses. Here is the Mud Map to finding them.
You would have thought I had discovered Gold! To me, on that day, it was one and the same.
These little crosses were fascinating. A Maltese Cross is actually a twin crystal of Staurolite (iron aluminum silicate) which is recognisable by it’s dark brown colour, prism shape and roughly diamond shaped cross-section.
To scoop them up by the handful was just so much fun.
Later, I discovered another Cross and the One hung upon it – The Son of Man, Jesus! It has been, and will remain, my greatest discovery!
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
Daniel 7:13
If you haven’t made the discovery yourself, then here is your opportunity. Here is a Path to Discovery – a mud map, if you will.
Enjoy the journey.
