During the 10 Days of Awe, there is another concept of our names being written in “books,” more specifically in the “Book of Life.”
The expression is “May your name be found in the Book of Life.” And the response is “May your name also be found”.
In Colossians we see that the early followers of our Messiah guarded the feasts, new moons, Sabbaths etc., as they understood the times and seasons. And Hebrews 4 – “since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it”. Rest? What’s that?
There are two key passages in Romans which have been especially misunderstood by many exegetes, resulting in a gross anti-Torah sentiment among the people of Christianity. Torah is not a vehicle to attain righteousness; rather it is a book of instruction revealing what God’s righteousness looks like and how to live out the righteousness that we now have become in Christ.
In the teachings of Paul, we see how they were, as Peter said, distorted or twisted by those who know not the Torah. Many who do not keep the law are trying to justify it through grace. We do not keep the laws of Yehovah to be saved. We keep the laws of Yehovah because we are saved.
Peter’s Vision, although short and simple to read, is among the most distorted of teachings. The common interpretation is: God’s food laws were done away with and God told Peter he could now eat anything he wanted. The truth is far from that.
They say that we are not under The Law. And they are right! The Kingdom of God is a just society and no one breaks The Law there. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be Heaven, would it? How would God like it if people broke His Laws right where He lives? Who prays for God’s Kingdom here on Earth, as it is in Heaven… Are you breaking His Laws?
Let us begin by examining some of the words of this item of our marriage covenant with Yehovah. This is the first instruction that begins not with something we are to keep ourselves from, but we are instructed to “remember” something. Do you know what it is? Do you remember it?
Are you obsessed with multiple conspiracy theories and thus have the spirit of fear around you and react in this way for instance, “what they are doing to us” philosophy, or, do you have the mind of Christ, a mind that cannot be manipulated? Do Conspiracy Theories hold us captive?
