Buzzz! Buzzz! Amazing how the sound of your alarm clock fits into the dream. *blink* Nope, I’m now awake. Get up. Have a shower, shave and… then it’s breakfast. Rush to the train. Sleepily rattle my way to work in the morning peak hour crush. Walk those few blocks through the city smog and traffic. Get to work. Drink coffee. Work. Lunch. Work. Coffee. Work. Pack up. Rush to the station. Go back two stops to get a seat on a train. Snooze on the way home. Arrive. Tea. TV. Ahh, bed.
Buzzz! Buzzz! Starts all over again.
My life was monotonous and hopeless. Was there more to life than this? If it wasn’t, I considered, be it very briefly, that I might as well end it right there and then. What was the point of it all? Sure, there were times I was happy. But I lacked joy and a sense of peace in my life.
That’s when God chose to reveal himself to me.
Now, just as Paul shared, I too can say with all conviction:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
And here is the place to start.
