Sin is simply the fact that we have turned our back on God and have been following our own ways and desires, think and do as we please.
Anything that turns us away from God is known as sin.
And we all do this, intentionally or unintentionally.
Until we repent and begin following Jesus Christ, every step leads us the wrong way.
The further we travel down this wrong way the further from God we get… and eventually this will lead to separation from God for all eternity.
Consider the response of the ‘sinful’ woman when she came before Jesus.
Her face toward him, her back to her sins.
Then Jesus said to her,
“Your sins are forgiven.” Luke 7:48
