Yehovah, The First and the Last, the (את) Aleph(א) Tav(ת)

Did you notice quite a bit in the first part of this series that you have never known before?  Have you ever seen Yehovah refer to Himself as The Savior and The Redeemer?   I’m sure you still have questions and are confused over this whole matter.  I’m glad you’ve decided to continue this series to learn what has been hidden from you for millennia.

Isaiah 46:5,9,13 MKJV
(5)To whom will you compare Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be alike?
(9) Remember former things from forever; for I am God, and no other is God, even none like Me,
(13) I bring near My righteousness. It shall not be far off, and My salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion, My glory for Israel.

Yehovah, the Father, makes a profound statement in this next verse.

Isaiah 48:12 MKJV
Listen to me, O Jacob and Israel, My called; I am He; I am the first, I also am the last.

In this next passage, we see Jesus (Yehshua) ALSO is called The First and The Last.

Revelation 1:10-17 MKJV
I came to be in the Spirit in the Lord’s day and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,  (11)  saying, I am the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. Also, What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.  (12)  And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me.  (13)  And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. And in the midst of the seven lampstands I saw One like the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and tied around the breast with a golden band.  (14)  His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were like a flame of fire.  (15)  And His feet were like burnished brass having been fired in a furnace. And His voice was like the sound of many waters.  (16)  And He had seven stars in His right hand, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. And His face was like the sun shining in its strength.  (17)  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear, I am the First and the Last,  (18)  and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 22:12-14 MKJV
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according as his work is.  (13)  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last.  (14)  Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city.

You just read Yehovah (the Father) and Yehshua (the Son) have both called themselves The First and The Last.

We have One God (One Elohim) according to the written Torah of Moses (The Law) as spoken by God (Yehovah Elohim) Himself.

Deuteronomy 6:4 MKJV
Hear, O, Israel. Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.

So I ask again, Who is Jesus (Yehshua)?

You are about to learn what has been hidden from Christianity for millennia. It is non-translatable into an English word and therefore hidden from these common English translations.  It is only present in the Hebrew from which it was written and explained.

The Word Became Flesh

John 1:1-3 MKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2) He was in the beginning with God. (3) All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

Jesus (Yehshua) is The Word.

He was with God (Yehovah, the Father) and He WAS God.

Yehshua is Yehovah Elohim that took upon Himself a body of flesh.  The Spirit Father took on flesh.

Let’s look at this next verse in Hebrew.  This verse ties into John 1:1 and why it is the first thing John wanted to address in his gospel.

Genesis 1:1 (Hebrew)
בראשׁית ברא אלהים את השׁמים ואת הארץ

Here is the transliteration of it into more readable Hebrew using English script:

Genesis 1:1
Bereshit bara Elohim  (את ALEPH TAV) hashamyim  (את ALEPH TAV) ha’aretz

Which in turn translates into the English:

Genesis 1:1
In beginning, created God (את ALEPH TAV) the heavens and (את ALEPH TAV) the earth.”

This is the correct interpretation as it reads from the original Hebrew.  What remains hidden to English readers is the presence of the ALEPH TAV at creation.   The את continues to be hidden from our English Bibles.

The question since creation had always been, “Who is this Aleph Tav?”  There is One God (Elohim) and yet they read of both Elohim and this Aleph Tav both involved at creation.  John immediately answers this question, in the first sentence of his Gospel of John, with these words:

John 1:1 MKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

“The Word” is “Logos” in Greek and it is a reference to the Aleph Tav in Hebrew.  John points his readers back to the beginning.  Back to who created the world.  According to the Hebrew language, the heavens and the earth were created by this Aleph Tav.

Genesis 1:1 In beginning, created God (את ALEPH TAV) the heavens and (את ALEPH TAV) the earth.”

John is teaching us the Aleph Tav, who was with Elohim (God) at creation and SPOKE creation into existence, is this same Jesus (Yehshua) who stood before them.  The Spoken Word  (called the Aleph Tav at creation) is Yehovah and then became flesh as Yehshua to die for our sins.  He is still the Aleph Tav, the First and the Last.

He is also known as our Messiah, when Yehovah (Spirit) dwells with us face to face in the flesh.  Let’s finish reading John 1.

John 1:1-5 MKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2)  He was in the beginning with God.  (3)  All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.  (4)  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.  (5)  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.

John 1:9-15 MKJV
He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.  (10)  He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him.  (11)  He came to His own, and His own received Him not.  (12)  But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,  (13)  who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.  (14)  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.  (15)  John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, This was He of whom I spoke: He who comes after me has been before me, for He was preceding me.

Read that again,  John says The Word became flesh.

The Word is the Aleph Tav who was WITH Elohim the Father and WAS Elohim the Father at creation.  He now takes on flesh and is born of a woman.

We can now better understand why Jesus (Yehshua) calls Himself the Aleph Tav.

The Aleph Tav are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet.  Likewise, Alpha Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet.

They represent ‘bookends’ of all that is in between.

The First and the Last.

The Aleph Tav was first at creation and He is still the last as Yehshua, our Messiah.  This looks toward that millennial day when we will once again see Yehovah face to face as Adam and Eve did, that is, Yehshua, our Messiah as Yehovah in the flesh.

Yehshua is not a different God with a different agenda.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6 MKJV
For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.

Hebrews 13:8 MKJV
Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.

Isaiah 55:11 MKJV
so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do.

Then, let’s take a look at these verses about Jesus being pierced:

John 19:34 MKJV
But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a lance, and instantly there came out blood and water.

Psalms 22:16 MKJV
and You have brought Me into the dust of death. For dogs have circled around Me; the band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercers of My hands and My feet.

Revelation 1:7 MKJV
Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him will see Him, and all the kindreds of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Now, compare these verses to:

Zechariah 12:10 MKJV
And I will pour on the house of David, and on the people of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be bitter over Him, as the bitterness over the first-born.

The Aleph Tav is present, but not in our common English Translations.  This is a clear reference to Yehshua being the Aleph Tav. He is Yehovah (the Father) in the flesh exactly as John tells us.

We see further evidence in:

John 8:58 MKJV
Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I AM!

Exodus 3:14 MKJV
And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM. And He said, So you shall say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.

They both (Father and Son) proclaim to be the “I AM”.

This name “I AM” is the Hebrew YHVH, which is pronounced Yehovah and this was the name Yehovah said to use when Moses asked what to call Him.

There are many sacrificial laws that are shadow pictures that foretell of Yehovah to take on flesh to die for our sins.  They too, provide more overwhelming proof, but that is for another time as you grow in the knowledge of Truth.  Yehshua Himself, refers you back to The Law (Torah) of Moses.

Luke 24:44 MKJV
And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and in the Psalms about Me.
