Overview of The Mark
Ezekiel 9:4 MKJV
And Jehovah said to him, Go through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and set a markH8240 on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning because of all the abominations that are done in her midst.Ezekiel 9:66 MKJV
Fully destroy old men, young men and virgins, and little children and women. But do not come near any man on whom is the mark H8240. And begin at My sanctuary. And they began at the old men who were before the house.
Here we see clearly, Yehovah is the who gives and protects, with a Mark on their foreheads, those who were in despair for the abominations done in the midst of Jerusalem. Only they, with the Mark, were spared and all the idolaters and their ways, destroyed.

Ezekiel 20:12 MKJV
And also I gave them My sabbaths to be a signH226 between Me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah who sets them apart.Ezekiel 20:19-20 MKJV
I am Jehovah your God. Walk in My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them, (20) and keep My sabbaths holy; and they shall be a sign H226 between Me and you, that you may know that I am Jehovah your God.
H226 – Original: אות – Transliteration: ’owth – Phonetic: oth – Definition: 1. sign, signal a. a distinguishing mark b. banner c. remembrance d. miraculous sign e. omen f. warning 2. token, ensign, standard, miracle, proof
– Strong’s: Probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively) as a flag beacon monument omen prodigy evidence etc.: – mark miracle (en-) sign token.
The Sabbath is a distinguishing mark, evidence (a sign) between Yehovah, our God, and us, who ‘do them’.
The Sabbath and the Holy (set apart) Days of Leviticus 23, a statute forever, and the Sabbatical and Jubilee years of Leviticus 25 are His Mark, the Aleph Tav (את) on each one of us.
It is by this Mark that we KNOW Yehovah and declare Him, our God. And He KNOWS us and declares us His people.
So, let’s explore this in detail and prove it.
Then there is a Counterfeit Mark.
Why do we need to know or understand what this mark is?
Why is it important to me as an individual?
What is it? What is this, counterfeit Mark, The Mark of the Beast?
I have read so many different ideas as to what the “Mark” is. This “Mark”, often short for and referring to the Mark of The Beast, is said to be the Social security cards, credit cards, an RFID chip inserted on the body, the COVID Vaccine, etc.
Let’s get back to the Bible and read what it says. After all everyone else is just speculating, but the Bible is there to help us understand.
Revelation 13:1-18 MKJV
(1) And I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. And on its horns were ten crowns, and on its heads was the name of blasphemy.
(2) And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet like those of a bear, and its mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him its power and its seat and great authority.
(3) And I saw one of its heads as having been slain to death, and its deadly wound was healed. And all the earth marveled after the beast.
(4) And they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with it?
(5) And a mouth speaking great things was given to it, and blasphemies. And authority was given to it to continue forty-two months.
(6) And it opened its mouth in blasphemy toward God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and those dwelling in Heaven.
(7) And it was given to it to war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation.
(8) And all dwelling on the earth will worship it, those whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world.
(9) If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
(10) He who leads into captivity will go into captivity. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed by a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
(11) And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. And it had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.
(12) And it exercises all the authority of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and those dwelling in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
(13) And it does great wonders, so that it makes fire come down from the heaven onto the earth in the sight of men.
(14) And it deceives those dwelling on the earth, because of the miracles which were given to it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth that they should make an image to the beast who had the wound by a sword and lived.
(15) And there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might both speak, and might cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
(16) And it causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark on their right hand, or in their foreheads,
(17) even that not any might buy or sell except those having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
(18) Here is the wisdom. Let him having reason count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. And its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
We often overlook, or we just plain forget, that the Book of Revelation is a book written to reveal the end time events to us.
Revelation 1:1a MKJV
A Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to declare to His servants things which must shortly come to pass.
Notice, that it is a revelation or revealing from Yehovah to Jesus to give to us, His servants. It is not a book of hiding things. Well, not to those who obey and keep the testimony of our Creator in Heaven.

(17) even that not any might buy or sell except those having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
