Awake yet?
My belief is that we are truly in the End Times.
As I have said before, I may, or may not, be correct with the timing. I am watching just like a Watchman on the wall – I see a cloud of dust on the horizon; is it an enemy or friend, attackers or traders?
A warning at first, to watch closer.
Only as it approaches and comes nearer and nearer do we see clearer and clearer.
Watching, watching and ready to sound the alarm. I consider the first alarm raised… now we watch!
2024 begins the FINAL 10 Years of Judgment on this world. Its purpose: Last chance to REPENT.
The final 7 Trumpet Plagues will be sounded during these next 7 years and then the Great Tribulation.
One can fully expect and should be watching for the 5th, 6th and 7th Seals to begin this year along with the first Trumpet plague.
The anticipated Daniel 12:11,12 prophetic event in 2020 and in 2023 was accurate because of understanding of the Jubilee Cycles.
If indeed correct about these next 10 years being those final years ushering in the King of Kings, then how are we to prepare?
We are shown each year what to do, but do any of us understand the deep meaning behind it all?
If the Feast of Trumpets begins the final days of repentance before our names can be found in the Book of Life, what should we be doing now during these remaining 10 years of Awe?
Are we ready for Christ’s Return?
No, really?
Will His Angels find your name written in the Book of Life?
How can you know for sure?
1 John 2:3,4
And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments.
(4) He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.John 5:46,47
For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me, for he wrote of Me.
(47) But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My Words?
Jesus said He never knew some of those people who thought they were ready for the wedding.
One may say one knows all about Jesus, but the real question is, does He know you?
Matthew 7:21-23 MKJV
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.
(22) Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?
(23) And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!
Ouch, working Lawlessness – what is lawlessness?
1 John 3:4 MKJV
Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, for sin is lawlessness.
And do we want Jesus to say, “I do not know you!”
Yehovah is going to say that because it is by keeping the law that we come to know Yehovah. It is by keeping the law, His Commandments, that we come to know him.
1 John 2:3 MKJV
And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments.1 John 2:5 MKJV
But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.1 John 5:1-5 MKJV
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.
(2) By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
(3) For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.
(4) For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.
(5) Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
We do not keep the laws of Yehovah to be saved.
We keep the laws of Yehovah because we are saved.
The laws of Torah, like the laws of society, are there for the good of all. We can keep these laws and not believe. It is Yehovah who has called you. By Faith you are answering that call.
Got your Wedding Garment ready?
It’s kind of important. Just read The Parable of the Wedding Feast:
Matthew 22:1-14 MKJV
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables, and said,
(2) The kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage for his son.
(3) And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come.
(4) Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage.
(5) But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading.
(6) And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them.
(7) But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
(8) Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy.
(9) Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage.
(10) So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests.
(11) And the king coming in to look over the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.
(12) And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
(13) Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(14) For many are called, but few chosen.
It is important to note, many are called and gathered, yet few are chosen and the “man not wearing wedding clothes” was cast out. Why? And, what are the wedding clothes? Do you know?
The Parable of the 10 Virgins is sobering.
Matthew 25:1-13 MKJV
Then shall the kingdom of Heaven be likened to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
(2) And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
(3) The foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them.
(4) But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
(5) While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
(6) And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes! Go out to meet him.
(7) Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
(8) And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps have gone out.
(9) But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there be not enough for us and you. But rather go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
(10) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came. And they who were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
(11) Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
(12) But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
(13) Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.
All 10 were eligible, waiting and trimmed their lamps; all had Oil to trim their lamps, but 5 came up short and did not have enough Oil – what is this?
Most know that the Oil refers to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given as a ‘Deposit’… there is more.
Further, understanding the Feasts, you will know that The Feast of Trumpets is the day the Messiah is going to come back on and begin to judge the earth. When you understand this from the Ceremonial Laws, then when you read about the 5 foolish virgins, you will understand that they are going out to “BUY” on this same Holy Day that the Messiah comes. The five foolish demonstrate that by their very actions they do not know the Bridegroom. If they did, they would not be buying on the Feast of Trumpets, which is a Holy Day, Yehovah’s Appointed Time, when you are not to buy or sell. They are practicing sin.
Flow on from that with The Parable of the Talents – is this a measure of the oil above?
Matthew 25:14-30 MKJV
For it is as if a man going abroad called his own servants and gave them his goods.
(15) And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once.
(16) And going he who had received the five talents traded with them, and made another five talents.
(17) And likewise he who had received two, he also gained another two.
(18) But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s silver.
(19) After a long time the lord of those servants came and took account with them.
(20) And so he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I have gained five talents above them.
(21) His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.
(22) He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them.
(23) His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.
(24) And he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
(25) And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, you have yours.
(26) His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter,
(27) then you should have put my money to the exchangers, and coming I would have received my own with interest.
(28) Therefore take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents.
(29) For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will abound. But from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.
(30) And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
We are given a ‘deposit’ according to each one’s ability.
What did they do with that deposit?
Did they add to it?
Then, The Final Judgement and how not to be one of those on the ‘left of the throne’.
Matthew 25:31-46 MKJV
But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His glory.
(32) And all nations shall be gathered before Him. And He shall separate them from one another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.
(33) And indeed He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats off the left.
(34) Then the King shall say to those on His right hand, Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
(35) For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;
(36) I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
(37) Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You? Or thirsty, and gave You drink?
(38) When did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You?
(39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?
(40) And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me.
(41) Then He also shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.
(42) For I was hungry, and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me no drink;
(43) I was a stranger and you did not take Me in; I was naked, and you did not clothe Me; I was sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.
(44) Then they will also answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?
(45) Then He shall answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.
(46) And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.
May Yehovah bless your understanding and give you the wisdom to discern that knowledge and understanding about Him.
Proverbs 9:10 MKJV
The fear of Yehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the holy is understanding
And consider this as just the beginning…are you obeying Yehovah and His Fourth Commandment1To understand more about the Fourth Commandment, refer to https://www.coburns.biz/end-times/sabbath:
Exodus 20:8-11 MKJV
(8) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(9) Six days you shall labour and do all your work.
(10) But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah your God. You shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger within your gates.
(11) For in six days Yehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore, Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and sanctified it.
Is it really for today?
John 14:15 MKJV
If you love Me, keep My commandments.Hebrews 4:9-11 NIV
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
(10) for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.
(11) Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest2G4520 σαββατισμός – Transliteration: Sabbatismos (sab-bat-is-mos’) – Definition: 1. a keeping sabbath 2. the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians. – Origin: from a derivative of G4521 – TDNT entry: 07:35,0 – Strong’s: From a derivative of G4521; a sabbatism that is (figuratively) the repose of Christianity (as a type of heaven): – rest., so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
We tend to worry about what we don’t know or guess what things could be – the basis around all conspiracies.
Confidence and steadfastness come only when we have understanding, know the times, and what to expect so we are not deceived.
When I look around, plenty are ‘playing church’. I know that because I have done so too.
We have COVID rock up and all of a sudden, 1/3 of the Church, worldwide, ceases to meet together?!
With all the ‘cares of the world’, we are distracted and our eyes fall off Jesus. The chunk of coal away from the fire, dies. Right?
I am in search of understanding the times ahead. Without being deceived. Watching, waiting in anticipation, dressed in Wedding clothes and being prepared for the Bridegroom’s imminent Return.
Let’s now explore: There is Hope, if we number our days!
