ProveAllThingsApostle Paul Said:

1 Thessalonians 5:19-23 MKJV
Do not quench the Spirit.
(20)  Do not despise prophesying.
(21)  Prove all things, hold fast to the good.
(22)  Abstain from every appearance of evil.
(23)  And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is on this basis, I write this paper.

So, today…

DestroyTheCalendarMany, many people now are wanting to keep the Holy Days. Many Christians are flocking to keep Passover.

  • For them, Passover is kept on Good Friday and the wave sheaf day on Easter Sunday.
  • For them, this makes perfect sense. Passover, after all, was on Good Friday. They base this on what they have read or been told from the scriptures: that Jesus died just before the Sabbath, that is why they had to get Him in the grave so fast.
  • These same people know that Wave Sheaf day is Easter Sunday.

For many of these people, the sighting of the Crescent moon means nothing not to mention the barley. What do we need barley for anyway? What has that to do with the death and resurrection of Jesus?

They and many of you say that you do not have to clean out the leaven from your homes because that was just for the Jews. Or we have Messianics saying that you do not have to clean out the leaven because that was symbolic of the cleaning of your mind.

Then we have the Jews themselves who go by the Hillel Calendar created in 352 C.E. and instituted by Rambam in the 12th Century.

To this calendar, over time they have added the Metonic cycles, created a Greek named Meton of Athens and incorporated by Hillel.

MetonicCycleWheel

The depiction of the 19 years of the Metonic cycle as a wheel, with the Julian date of the Easter New Moon, from a 9th-century computistic manuscript made in St. Emmeram’s Abbey1Clm 14456, fol. 71r.

The Jews also over time brought in the use of Postponement rules that moved the Fall Holy Days by one, two or three days so that you would not have a Feast Day next to the weekly Sabbath. And I have read in the past year or so that they will begin to use this same postponement rule for Passover.

And the most recent invention are those people who desire to be very different. The Lunar Sabbath people or the Enoch calendar people changing the Sabbath or the Holy Day season outright.

What we are told about our times

Daniel 7:19-25 MKJV
Then I wanted to know the truth of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, very frightening, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of bronze; who devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with his feet;
(20)  and of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth speaking very great things, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
(21)  I watched, and that horn made war with the saints and overcame them
(22)  until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High. And the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
(23)  And he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth, and shall trample it and crush it.
(24)  And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise. And another shall arise after them. And he shall be different from the first, and he shall humble three kings.
(25)  And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and plot to change times and laws. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one-half time.

We are not yet at this stage of the 4th beast. Yet, all the signs are there to it charging out of the gate very soon and very unexpectedly to most of the world.

The saints are going to be in his control for 3 1/2 years and if you do not know how to figure out when each Holy Day is, or what the signs are that you are to use in order to follow Yehovah’s lead, then you will be deceived and killed.

God’s Chosen

I have asked this many times and do so now again.

If the keeping of the Sabbath and Holy Days is so important and you will be blessed for doing so, then why did Yehovah allow 6 Million Jews to be killed in WWII?

The answer is

  • because they did not keep the Holy Days at the proper time nor did they keep the Sabbatical years. At least not since the Zoar Stones of about 515 CE. or the earthquake in 749 CE which is our last reference to the Shemita Year2Shemita Year or Shmita Year (שְמִטָה), is the 7th Year of every Sabbatical Cycle – the Year of Rest to the Land, Debt Release, and Social Justice where the poor glean from the land..
  • They were keeping the weekly Sabbath but they postponed the Holy Days in the 7th Month and they stopped keeping the Shemita.

Now let me ask you who believe in Jesus (English transliteration) or Yehshua (Hebrew). Do you think that just because you believe that Messiah came and rose from the grave and that you have faith that you are any better than those 6 million Jews that Hitler ordered murdered?

No, you are not.

Just as the Jews, God’s Chosen People, were not protected by God due to disobedience, you who is grafted into the same vine, and not being obedient are going to perish the same as they did, unless you repent of your disobedience.

Don’t think that’s right?

As a Christian, grafted into the tree, maybe consider:

Luke 13:1-5 MKJV
And some were present at the same time reporting to Him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.
(2)  And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you suppose that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans because they suffered such things?
(3)  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
(4)  Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem?
(5)  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

And the Parable of the Barren Fig Tree:

Luke 13:6-9 MKJV
He also spoke this parable: A certain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard. And he came and sought fruit on it, and found none.
(7)  And he said to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none. Cut it down, why does it encumber the ground?
(8)  And answering, he said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and throw manure.
(9)  And if it bears fruit, well; and if not, then after that you shall cut it down.

These people who Pilot had killed, and those who were killed by the tower, were all Jews who were keeping the Sabbath and Holy Days and they also kept the Sabbatical years at this time. And yet Yehshua said to the Apostles that unless the Apostles themselves repented they too would perish. Then right after that, Yehshua talks about the barren fig tree. And this is explained in Luke:

Luke 3:7-9 MKJV
Then he said to the crowd that came forth to be baptized by him, O generation of vipers! Who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
(8)  Therefore bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
(9)  And now also the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore, every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

It says good fruit. Are you producing good fruit, or is it bad fruit, or the type that is of no use?

Romans 2:12-13 MKJV
For as many as sinned without Law will also perish without Law. And as many as have sinned within Law shall be judged through Law.
(13)  For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.

I guess the law is not done away. You must be a doer of the law in order to be justified. A doer, which means you better know the law in order to do it.

But, I’m saved by Grace, right?

Those who claim to be saved by grace, and it alone, are deceiving themselves. Your faith will not save you and does not give you a get out of jail card, or a go directly to heaven card.

James 2:14-26 MKJV
My brothers, what profit is it if a man says he has faith and does not have works? Can faith save him?
(15)  If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
(16)  and if one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them those things which are needful to the body, what good is it?
(17)  Even so, if it does not have works, faith is dead, being by itself.
(18)  But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.
(19)  You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble.
(20)  But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
(21)  Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
(22)  Do you see how faith worked with his works, and from the works faith was made complete?
(23)  And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God.”
(24)  You see then how a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
(25)  And in the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she had received the messengers and had sent them out another way?
(26)  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

You must repent from not obeying the law – this is the works being spoken of. The laws of Torah, like the laws of society, are there for the good of all. We can keep these laws and not believe. It is Yehovah who has called you. By Faith you are answering that call.

We do not keep the laws of Yehovah to be saved.  We keep the laws of Yehovah because we are saved.

‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord!

Matthew 7:21-23 MKJV
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven.
(22)  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works?
(23)  And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!

Those who do not keep the law are told to leave – they are working lawlessness.

They do not and did not obey the Torah so they are thrown out first.

5 Unwise Virgins

In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, we are told about those who do obey the law but did not prepare to keep the law.

Matthew 25:7-13 MKJV
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
(8)  And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps have gone out.
(9)  But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there be not enough for us and you. But rather go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
(10)  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came. And they who were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
(11)  Afterwards the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
(12)  But he answered and said, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
(13)  Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of Man comes.

I liken these who are told ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ those who keep the Torah but do so according to their own false teachings. They keep the Sabbath at a different time, or the Holy Days like the Jews by postponing them, or they use the Enoch calendar or some other version of it.

Not wearing the White Robes

Then we have the parable of the wedding in Mathew 22.

This one guest did not wear the white robes and was kicked out.

Matthew 22:8-14 MKJV  Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy.
(9)  Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage.
(10)  So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests.
(11)  And the king coming in to look over the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.
(12)  And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
(13)  Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(14)  For many are called, but few chosen.

I liken this person to those who adopt the Holy Days of the Torah and add them to their former beliefs but do not change.

They collect all teachings in the hopes that one of them will get them in.

But they do not do the work to prove which one is true and which one is false.

No White Robes? And they are?

Revelation 19:8 MKJV
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.

Righteousness?

Psalms 119:172 MKJV
My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.

It is this righteousness that we are to put on

Job 29:14 MKJV
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.

Ephesians 6:14 MKJV
Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness

Understanding this that we put on righteousness by obeying the commandments which is what righteousness is.  The opposite is being lawless.

Matthew 7:23 MKJV
And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!

Ouch, working Lawlessness – what is lawlessness?

1 John 3:4 MKJV
Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, for sin is lawlessness.

We are exhorted to ‘Prove all things.’

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 MKJV
Do not quench the Spirit.
(20)  Do not despise prophesying.
(21)  Prove all things, hold fast to the good.
(22)  Abstain from every appearance of evil.

Prove it and test it and then once you have done so, hold on to it and do not then go looking for evil false teachings to satisfy your itching ears.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 MKJV
Therefore I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the living and the dead according to His appearance and His kingdom,
(2)  preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
(3)  For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.
(4)  And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.
(5)  But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry.

Do you? Does He?

Do you say you believe in the Sabbath, but you have no problem shopping on the Sabbath, or going to work on it? You do not keep it Holy.

Do you say you believe in Passover, but you mix it with Easter and Good Friday?

Do you say you’re Torah observant, but you have not proven what calendar to follow, or you just keep the Hillel calendar because it is easy and all your friends do?

Do you like the facts about the Sabbatical year instead of keeping it, and you say it is for those in the land only so that you do not have to do it?

Then, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

How do you Love Yehovah?

John 14:15-17 MKJV
If you love Me, keep My commandments.
(16)  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,
(17)  the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.

Earlier we read about the Fruit of the Fig tree. Again, listen to Yehshua as He explains this from the point of view of the Vine.

John 15:1-11 MKJV
I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
(2)  Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit.
(3)  Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you.
(4)  Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
(5)  I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
(6)  If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
(7)  If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.
(8)  In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples.
(9)  As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love.
(10)  If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
(11)  I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full.

Anyone teaching you to keep the Holy Days using systems not found in the bible are causing you to try and bear your own fruit by your own methods. You are not abiding in the true vine of Yehshua. You will be thrown away, or told I never knew you, you workers of lawlessness. You workers of Satan who do not keep the law. Yes, Satan is going to keep the Feasts each year and he wants you all to join him keeping them according to his own schedule and not Yehovah’s.

1 John 5:2-3 MKJV
By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
(3)  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

How do you love Yehovah? By keeping the commandments.

When He says to be here at this time then you are there at that precise time and not one, two or three days later. It is like making an appointment with the Doctor and then just turn up whenever it suits you – what does the Doctor think of that? How does that work out for you?

Is it time to begin getting it right?

This year is the year you can begin to get it right!!!

Begin by keeping each of the Holy Days at the proper time, learn about them, and prove them to be at that time. You can do the timing calculations for yourself. You can begin to know how to do it and be able to teach others – all based on the Torah.

Many use different calendars to lead you away from the truth that is shown to you when you keep the Holy Days. Begin to prove each aspect of it for yourself, so that you know. Do not be led astray any longer.

Time is almost up.

What to learn? Prove all things!

When does the Biblical Year begin? When is there a 13th Month?

Why do we need Barley? Where is this found in the bible? What is Wave Sheaf Day and why is it so significant today? There is such a huge number of teachings to understand.

What are the Appointed Times? What are the Feasts and what do they reveal?

What about deleavening our homes just prior to and at Passover when some say we do not have to do this?

When is the Passover Meal eaten – the 14th or the 15th?

What about the fast of the First Born; and that that being the event Yehshua was doing when he ate with the Apostles the night before He was killed?

What about the calendar? Is it the Hebrew Calculated one created by Hillel in 352 CE? Is it the one that uses the Crescent moon to begin the month? How do you prove it? Not arguing over it. But how do you prove it from the scriptures?

Need Help?

I have written papers, like this one, on many of these things – I will publish them over time. I’m happy to provide a paper on any of these things earlier if you need it or want it. And if I don’t have a written answer to your question, I will research it and write one.

What is the oil? It is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, which is prophetically equated to Oil in Scripture, was a deposit. A deposit of Oil. Not all the Oil required. What are the vessels? It is us. It is our bodies which are symbolic of the temple. What are the Lamps? It is how we let our faith shine fourth by our good works.

So, my papers will help a little, sure. But that doesn’t mean you should be lazy… doing these things with the helper, the Holy Spirit, is what tops up the oil – be one of the wise virgins. I can help point out certain aspects or help with understanding, but ultimately you need to do the works, with the help of the Holy Spirit, so you know and Yeshua (Jesus) ‘knows you’.

My Desire

My desire is to be one of those who is welcomed at the wedding Feast and not thrown out.

I desire to be in His Kingdom and already keeping the laws of the Kingdom before it is set up for the 7th Millenium. The Sabbath is so eternal and set-apart, we will be keeping the Sabbath day in the 7th Millenium during the Millennial reign:

Isaiah 66:22-23 MKJV
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make stand before Me, says Jehovah, so will your seed and your name stand.
(23)  And it will be, from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before Me, says Jehovah.

I desire to know Yehovah and know it is by keeping the Holy Days at the right time and by keeping the Sabbatical years at the right time that we are showing Him we love Him. Remember:

1 John 5:2-3 MKJV
By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.
(3)  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

We put on those white Robes of righteousness by keeping the commandments and
not compromising them, or
adding to them, or
doing them when it is convenient.

Psalms 119:160 MKJV
Your Word is true from the beginning; and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

Psalms 119:142 MKJV
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Law is the truth.

Psalms 119:172 MKJV
My tongue shall speak Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.

Will you be joining me?  That too, is my desire.

Let’s now explore: A Menu of Important Things

  • 1
    Clm 14456, fol. 71r
  • 2
Shemita Year or Shmita Year (שְמִטָה), is the 7th Year of every Sabbatical Cycle – the Year of Rest to the Land, Debt Release, and Social Justice where the poor glean from the land.
