How many times do we see on the news the tragedies of people who go on a rampage of destruction, who kill or maim, who act out in some way that becomes newsworthy, or ultimately those who commit suicide? In these cases, when all is said and done, they were people who have lost hope.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12

Hope is powerful. Hope is life. Hope gives strength to go on. When hope rises within us, confidence returns. Hope is needed more than the breath you just took.

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
Ephesians 1:18,19ff

Hope is but a prayer away. God is listening…
