FishersAndHunters

God called us to be “fishers of men” in:

Matthew 4:18-22 MKJV
And walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea. For they were fishermen.
(19)  And He said to them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
(20)  And they immediately left their nets and followed him.
(21)  And going on from there, he saw another two brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. And He called them;
(22)  and they immediately left the boat and their father and followed Him.

God made a covenant with Israel at Mount Sinai as He clearly pursues His Betrothed:

Deuteronomy 7:6 MKJV
For you are a holy people to Jehovah your God. Jehovah your God has chosen you to be a special people to Himself above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

1 Peter 2:9 MKJV
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession, so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

Israel also agreed to that covenant, including the curses if they would not obey:

Amos 3:2 MKJV
You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Now, notice what Yehovah says He will do in the last days. He is going to send the hunters once the fishermen have completed their work; in this way, Yehovah is going to awaken spiritual Israel to the need and necessity of obeying His Covenant.

(Jeremiah 16:14-16)
So, behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
(15) but, As Jehovah lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands where He had driven them. And I will bring them again into their lands that I gave to their fathers.
(16) Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says Jehovah, and they will fish them. And afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

By sending these two different groups designated as fishers and hunters, we are being shown that there are two entirely different methods by which Yehovah is going to appeal to Israel.

A fisherman patiently waits as he undertakes to snare the fish in a net or catch it on a line, but the hunter tramps through the woods and over the hills and mountains exerting energy and strength as he travels in search of his specifically-selected prey.

The hunters come at the end of the age.

We are clearly at the end of this age. Yehovah is about to send out the hunters, if not already, who are going to hunt Israel.

We had a choice, and many chose not to return or repent (teshuvah) via the fishermen, but rather mocked and belittled those He sent:

Matthew 22:1-6 MKJV
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables, and said,
(2)  The kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage for his son.
(3)  And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come.
(4)  Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage.
(5)  But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading.
(6)  And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them.

These are the fishermen who are ill-treated and killed.

Notice what Yehovah does next.

He sends the hunters.

The reason the hunters come is the same as the reason the fishers of men were sent – so that people would turn back to Yehovah and keep the Torah. You refused the Fishermen and now you will not be able to refuse the Hunters:

Matthew 22:7-14 MKJV
But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
(8)  Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy.
(9)  Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage.
(10)  So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests.
(11)  And the king coming in to look over the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.
(12)  And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
(13)  Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(14)  For many are called, but few chosen.

We are told about the hunters in Genesis.

Hunter #1: Nimrod

The first hunter mentioned is Nimrod

Genesis 10:8-12 MKJV
And Cush fathered Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
(9)  He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah. Therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah.
(10)  And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
(11)  Out of that land he went forth to Asshur. And he built Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
(12)  and Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which is a great city.

Nimrod was the King of Babylon and allowed Asshur to go out from him. Asshur would become the first world empire of Assyrians.

Nimrod would then lead the Babylonians to develop the next world-ruling empire which Daniel 2 and 7 speaks about in both Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the statue, as well as Daniel’s dream of the four beast empires to come. By the time Daniel has his vision of the four beasts, the Assyrian Empire is already gone, and the Babylonian Empire had just begun.

After the Babylonian Empire came the Medo-Persian Empire, then the Greco-Macedonian Empire, followed by the Holy Roman Empire, which has led to the current European Union, known as the Beast.

A Woman Riding A Beast! - This is a statue outside the EU Headquarters in Brussels

A Woman Riding A Beast! – This is a statue outside the EU Headquarters in Brussels

A WOMAN RIDING A BEAST! A Euro Coin

A Woman Riding A Beast! – A Euro Coin

The woman who rides the Beast as found in Revelation 17 is also immortalized on the EU currency and in front of their European parliament. In mythology, Europa is a woman riding on the back of a huge beast or bull. It is quite obvious of whom the Bible is speaking about in the Book of Revelation.

It is my belief that the ram in Daniel 8 is what would become the Ottoman Empire, which is destroyed by the Grecian Goat known as Europe in 1918 A.D.

That then brings us to the following part in Daniel 8:8-14 which I also believe began starting from March 25, 2020 A.D. when COVID caused the Knesset to shut down the ‘daily’ (sacrifice of prayer in the Synagogues) in Israel.

Daniel 8:8-14 MKJV
Then the he-goat became very great. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken. And in its place came up four outstanding ones towards the four winds of the heavens.
(9)  And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which became very great, toward the south and toward the east and toward the bountiful land.
(10)  And it became great, to the host of heaven. And it made fall some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and trampled them.
(11)  Yea, he magnified himself, even to the ruler of the host, and the daily was taken away by him, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
(12)  And an army was given against the daily because of transgression, and it cast the truth to the ground. And it worked and succeeded.
(13)  Then I heard a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that one who spoke, Until when shall the vision last, concerning the daily and the transgression that astounds, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled?
(14)  And he said to me, For two thousand, three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be vindicated.

Hunter #2: Ishmael

The second hunter is Ishmael

Genesis 21:20 MKJV
And God was with the boy, and he grew, and lived in the wilderness, and became an archer.

The four horns or four rulership’s that come up are all in the Middle east today and they are all Islamic nations. Out of one of them is expected that little horn that becomes great.

Hunter #3: Esau

The third hunter is Esau

Genesis 25:27 MKJV
And the boys grew. And Esau was a man knowing hunting, and Jacob was a simple man, living in tents.

Now let us return to the story of Esau and the blessing he was given by Isaac after Jacob had deceived his father:

Genesis 27:38-41 MKJV
And Esau said to his father, Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, me also, my father. And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.
(39)  And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold! Your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth and of the dew of heaven from above.
(40)  And by your sword you shall live, and shall serve your brother. And it shall be when you shall have the dominion H7300, you shall break his yoke from off your neck.
(41)  And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob.

The word dominion that Esau is to have in the last days means he is going to spread his rule. But also notice that this word also means to trample:

H7300 (Strong’s) ר וּ ד rûd rood – A primitive root; to tramp about, that is, ramble (free or disconsolate): – have the dominion, be lord, mourn, rule.

With my understanding that this fourth Empire is Europe which will be ruled over by the iron fist of Germany along with the Islamic nations who will not mix, we can then see in Daniel 7:7-8 how they are going to trample the rest of the world and break it all into pieces.

Daniel 7:7-8 MKJV
After this I looked in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, frightening and terrifying, and very strong. And it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts before it; and it had ten horns.
(8)  I was thinking about the horns, and behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom three of the first horns were uprooted. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

These are the hunters that Jeremiah is referring to, who are going to come out of these Middle East nations, trampling the whole world, causing it to become prostrate and to humble the whole earth with all its inhabitants in the same way Dinah and Tamar were humbled.

The white horse in Revelation 6:2 is using a bow to hunt.

Revelation 6:2 MKJV
And I saw. And behold a white horse! And he sitting on it had a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer.

It is not Jesus (Yehshua). This verse is not fishing for men. They are trampling down the earth, humbling those they conquer to prostrate before them. They are a curse (‘ârar1H779 אָרַר ‘ârar aw-rar’ A primitive root; to execrate: –  X bitterly curse.) from the beginning, a curse (‘âlâh2H423 אָלָה  ‘âlâh (aw-law’) From H422; an imprecation: – curse, cursing, execration, oath, swearing.) on all flesh which will make bare the earth in these last days as read in:

Isaiah 24:1-6 MKJV
Behold, Jehovah empties the land and makes it bare, and distorts its face, and scatters its inhabitants.
(2)  And as it is with the people, so it shall be with the priest; as with the servant, so with the master; as with the handmaid, so it is with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.
(3)  The land shall be completely emptied, and utterly stripped; for Jehovah has spoken this Word.
(4)  The earth mourns and languishes; the world droops and languishes; the proud people of the earth droop.
(5)  And the land is defiled under its people; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and have broken the everlasting covenant.
(6)  Therefore, the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell in it are deserted; therefore the people of the earth are burned, and few men left.

“The people are burned and few are left” is talking about and comes during the Choreph (stripping) of the land, during the 10 Days of Awe each year.

10 Years of Awe

This yearly reminder (the Feasts is the final 10 years of Awe which begins in 2024 A.D. and ends in 2033 A.D.

The people being burned in Isaiah 24:6 are also mentioned in the curse of the 4th vial in Revelation 16:8-9.

Isaiah 24:6 MKJV
Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell in it are deserted; therefore the people of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Revelation 16:8-9 MKJV
And the fourth angel poured out his vial onto the sun. And it was given to him to burn men with fire.
(9)  And men were burned with great heat. And they blasphemed the name of God, He having authority over these plagues. And they did not repent in order to give Him glory.

Global temperatures are going to continue to increase, drying up all the land around the world (as of Oct 2023, Every major river is drying up faster than normal).

The white horse that goes out with a false religion can be found in all the nations mentioned in:

Psalms 83:1-8 MKJV
A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. Keep not silence, O God; do not be speechless, and be not still, O God.
(2)  For lo, Your enemies roar; and those who hate You have lifted up their head.
(3)  They take shrewd counsel against Your people, and plot against Your hidden ones.
(4)  They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, so that the name Israel may be remembered no more.
(5)  For with one heart they have plotted together; they have made a covenant against You—
(6)  the tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarites;
(7)  Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the people of Tyre;
(8)  and Assyria has joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot. Selah.

All of them can be identified with the nations of the Middle East, except Assyria which is today known as Germany.

Israel was defeated and stripped of her inheritance in 723 B.C. Judah was also stripped of her land and possessions in both 586 B.C. and again in 70 A.D. Read how Jeremiah wrote of the 586 B.C. event and pay attention to the stripping of the land (sword, drought), poverty, famine and the Choreph (harvest) being spoken of and described in verses 9-11 in Lamentations 4:1-19:

Lamentations 4:1-19 MKJV
How the gold has become dim; the fine gold has changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.
(2)  The precious sons of Zion are weighed against pure gold; how they are counted as earthen vessels, the work of a potter’s hand!
(3)  Even the jackals draw out the breast; they suckle their young ones. The daughter of my people is cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.
(4)  The suckling’s tongue cleaves to his palate in thirst; the young children ask bread; there is no breaking to them.
(5)  Those who ate delicacies are desolate in the streets; those reared in scarlet embrace dunghills.
(6)  And the iniquity of the daughter of my people is heaped more than the sin of Sodom, overthrown as in a moment, and no hands spun on her.
(7)  Her Nazarites were purer than snow, whiter than milk; they were redder of bone than corals; their cuttings as lapis lazuli, azure blue.
(8)  Their appearance is blacker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets; their skin has shriveled on their bones; it is dried up; it has become like wood.
(9)  Better are the ones slain by the sword
H2719 than the ones slain by hunger; those who pine away, pierced because the fruits of my fields failed.
(10)  The hands of the pitying women have boiled their own children; they became their food in the ruin of the daughter of my people.
(11)  Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out His fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations.
(12)  The kings of the earth, and all the people of the world, would not have believed that the foe and the hater would go into Jerusalem’s gates.
(13)  For the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, shedding the blood of the just in her midst,
(14)  they reeled blind in the streets; they are defiled with blood, so that not any can touch their clothes.
(15)  They cried to them, Depart! Unclean! Depart, depart! Touch not! Indeed they fled and reeled; they said among the nations, They will not continue to live there.
(16)  The face of Jehovah has shared them out; He will no longer look on them; they did not respect the persons of the priests; they did not favour the elders.
(17)  While we are, our eyes fail, for our help is vain; in our watching we have watched for a nation; it does not save.
(18)  They hunted our steps from going in our streets; our end was near, our days were fulfilled, for our end has come.
(19)  Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens; they pursued us on the mountains, they lay in wait for us in the wilderness.

H2719  חֶרֶב  chereb drought; also a cutting instrument (from its destructive effect), as a knife, sword, or other sharp implement: – axe, dagger, knife, mattock, sword, tool.

When the hunters came against Judah in 586 B.C. she was stripped and felt the fury of Yehovah. The word for stripped is again the Hebrew word for curse: ‘ârar.

Our Situation

It would be easy to think the situation is hopeless.

Yet, Yehovah knows you if you are obeying Him.

His pattern is that He will bring you through all of this if you repent and begin to obey.

Isaiah 54:6-10 MKJV
For Jehovah has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when you were rejected, says your God.
(7)  For a little moment I have left you; but with great mercies I will gather you.
(8)  In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer.
(9)  For this is as the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn from being angry with you and from rebuking you.
(10)  For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has mercy on you.

Jeremiah 29:14 MKJV
And I will be found by you, says Jehovah; and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Jehovah. And I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be exiled.

Ezekiel 20:33-36 MKJV
As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, I will reign over you.
(34)  And I will bring you out from the people, and I will gather you out of the lands in which you are scattered among them, with a mighty hand and with a stretched out arm and with fury poured out.
(35)  And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
(36)  Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you, says the Lord Jehovah.

The Jews more so right now:

Ezekiel 5:1-17 MKJV
And you, son of man, take a sharp sword to yourself, take a barber’s razor also, and cause it to pass on your head and on your beard. Then take scales to weigh, and divide the hair.
(2)  You shall burn a third part with fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a third part and beat around it with a sword; and you shall scatter a third part in the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
(3)  Also you shall take a few of them in number, and tie them up in your skirts.
(4)  Then take of them again, and throw them into the middle of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for a fire shall come forth from them into all the house of Israel.
(5)  So says the Lord Jehovah: This is Jerusalem. I have set it in the middle of the nations, and all around her are the lands.
(6)  And she has changed My judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and defiled My Laws more than the countries that are all around her; for they have rejected My judgments and My Laws; they have not walked in them.
(7)  Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah: Because you multiplied more than the nations that are all around you, and have not walked in My Laws, neither have kept My judgments, nor have done according to the judgments of the nations all around you;
(8)  therefore so says the Lord Jehovah; Behold, I, even I, am against you, and will carry out judgments in your midst before the nations.
(9)  And I will do in you that which I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again, because of all your abominations.
(10)  So the fathers shall eat the sons in your midst, and the sons shall eat their fathers. And I will execute judgments in you, and I will scatter the whole remnant of you into all the winds.
(11)  Therefore, as I live, says the Lord Jehovah, surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw; nor shall My eye spare you, nor will I have any pity.
(12)  A third part of you shall die with the plague, and shall be consumed with the famine in your midst. And a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.
(13)  So My anger shall be fulfilled, and I will cause My fury to rest on them, and I will be comforted. And they shall know that I Jehovah have spoken it in My zeal, when I have fulfilled My fury in them.
(14)  And I will make you a waste and a curse among the nations that are all around you, in the sight of all who pass by.
(15)  So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, a chastening and a horror to the nations which are all around you, when I shall execute judgments against you in anger and in fury and in rebukes among them. I Jehovah have spoken it.
(16)  When I shall send on them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their ruin, which I will send to destroy you; even I will increase the famine on you, and break your staff of bread;
(17)  yea, I will send on you famine and evil beasts, and you will be bereaved. And pestilence and blood shall pass among you; and I shall bring a sword on you. I Jehovah have spoken.

Fishing/Hunting

The time for fishing is coming to a close and the hunters are about to go out, if not already, and do what they do best. This year (2024) we have seen this clearly occurring on the World Nightly News.

Let’s now explore: The Lord Comes like a Thief in the Night.

  • 1
    H779 אָרַר ‘ârar aw-rar’ A primitive root; to execrate: –  X bitterly curse.
  • 2
H423 אָלָה  ‘âlâh (aw-law’) From H422; an imprecation: – curse, cursing, execration, oath, swearing.
