“Love God. Love people. And doing the very best I can.”
Born in Winton, Queensland. Australia.
Grew up in Mount Isa, North West Queensland.
Married Judith, a Townsville girl and moved to Melbourne. Had two lovely kids, Jessica and Matthew – both born in Victoria, Australia.
Peter started in Information Technology. Sperry Univac mainframes and Networking at Mount Isa Mines.
His move to the National Australia Bank saw his IT expertise grow predominantly in Data Communications, the implementation of global Video Conferencing, NAB EFTPOS Network, and an Australia-wide NAB Branch Security.
Progressed to creating his own Internet Service Provider & Web Development company, xcelNet Pty Ltd. He also owned a Design Company, Montassi Group.
Releasing all of these businesses Peter followed the call to join CityLife Church. He served as a Network Pastor where he oversaw a Network of Life Groups and a region of 1000+ people, lead the Business Leader’s Ministry impacting 336 business leaders, organised all the logistics and coordination for LIFETRAX ( a group-wide training program), lead the ALPHA Ministry (evangelism & Christianity explained courses), and oversaw Pastoral Care for the CityLife Group. His role assisted the church to expand from 4,500 to 9,400 people in 7 years.
In May, 2011, Peter moved to take up a role as Operations Manager for Empart Australia.
Its mission is to reach the unreached, restoring, releasing and resourcing them to fulfill the Great Commission, through partnership with the global body of Christ.
And what captured his heart: Empart’s primary goal is to see 100,000 churches planted and established among unreached people in Asia by 2030.
Empart now averages about 3 new church plants every day, reaching about 6.5 million people every week through its various activities. With more than 2,000 full-time workers and offices in 7 countries, Empart is well positioned and on track to achieve its objectives.
In addition, Peter is the Founder and President of Southern Spirit Incorporated (SSI). SSI is a registered, not-for-profit, benevolent association, that exists to impact individuals and families in need/crisis in our Australian communities through direct relief of poverty, sickness, distress, helplessness, destitution, suffering and misfortune.
