Crystal Ball

Crystal BallWith the rapid changing of our world, most people are desperate to get a glimpse of what is to happen next. It is driven by fear. Fear of the unknown. “Will I survive?”, “Can I avoid it?”, “How can I prepare for it in advance?”… if only I knew.

So many people want to know, must know. They chase after fortune tellers with crystal balls, Tarot cards, astrological signs, psychic hotlines – all pretending to peek into the mysteries of tomorrow.

But as I discovered once before, about Looking into the future…look! Look!, it is not the future, I am to seek, but the One who sees all and knows all; the One who created the universe and all I can comprehend; the One who knows the beginning, the end, and everything in between; the One who sent His Son so that I might be able to call my Maker, friend; the One who has called me, and you, to spend eternity with Him.

Further to this, let me also share with you that God condemns this demonic (crystal balls, fortune tellers, etc.) and fleshly probing into the unknown.  He calls Christians not to wonder about the future, but to create it through the knowledge of His Living Word and prayer!

PrayerGod gives us access to the future right now through Prayer.

And that being the case, the logical question follows, “Then, how should I pray?”

“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,  your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:9,10

We could just allow our focus be upon the crumbling world around us, or we could look at the possibilities of God and choose faith. To bring revival to the crumbling world around us is to pray for the reality of God’s Kingdom to manifest itself here on earth…. today!

How will our world look tomorrow if God answers the prayer Christ gave us? Read the Gospels. We see in Jesus the faith picture of God’s Kingdom here on earth, and:

Very truly I tell you, all who have faith in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. “If you love me, keep my commands.
John 14:12-15

Wow! We can do even greater things than Jesus did?!

Praying people (intercessors) are the most awesome, powerful, demon chasing, world-moving, world-changing beings on earth. They are co-creators with God. Praying people don’t wonder about the future… they create it!

Are you counted among their numbers or are you one of many who chases blindly into the future?

It is a choice… and it is yours to make.
