Do you love to give…especially when you catch the person by surprise! That look of, “umm, me, for me?”
It can be a physical gift, or shouting someone lunch or buying the coffees.
Giving doesn’t always have to be about money.
It could cost you a smile, some time, or forgoing ‘your rights’ to give to another, a word of encouragement, or even acts of kindness like opening a door for a woman (yes, I still believe in chivalry), giving way or letting someone into the traffic stream.
When you sit and think, the list is endless.
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4
So, whenever you choose to give, give your all, be extravagant, be generous!
