In this world nothing is certain except Death and Taxes, right?!

I pay my taxes. I’ve never knowingly cheated. Minimise tax, sure, but never cheated… and I sleep well at night never fearing a visit from the tax man.

Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” He saw through their duplicity and said to them, “Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Luke 20:22-25

The tax bit is easy to understand, but what is God’s?

My Life. My Heart, My Spirit.

In Ecclesiastes 3:20,

“All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.”

And in Ecclesiastes 12:7,

“…and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. “

As with the Tax man, I don’t fear death either!

Daniel 12:2 says,

“Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”

My Heart is the Lords and everlasting life is mine.
